So, I just moved. I'm still in the same building, but a better apartment just opened up on another floor. I'm unpacking my art supplies and stuff right now (top priority ). I think the only disappointing thing that happened was my painted christmas eggs broke in the moving process, so I'll have to make new ones (I hate removing the yolks ).
1. New Films - As I'd posted a few days ago, I've just seen "Moana" (loved it!); my only disappointment was not being able to see it in 3D (gives me headaches). I'm completely in love with the soundtrack - as soon as "Shiny" started playing in the theater, I knew it was that guy Jermaine from "Flight of the Conchords" (fun fact: I like a lot of their songs ). That said, I think my 3 favorite songs from the movie are "Shiny", "We Know the Way", and "You're Welcome".
2. Old Films - I decided to watch the 1939 version of the "Hunchback of Notre Dame", and I liked it. I enjoyed Esmeralda and Quasimodo's performances, and Frollo's actor did a great job being just as big a jerk as I remember from the 1996 Disney version. Phoebus' appearance is much more brief in this version, but I didn't mind much as he wasn't very interesting to begin with. Overall though, I think I still like the Disney version best.
3. Bad Films - "Fatal Deviation" has to be, hands down, the absolute WORST martial arts flick I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of bad ones). How can I even describe it ^.^'? It takes place in Ireland, and this guy enters a martial arts tournament, which is being held in a barn, and is officiated by druids. The dialogue makes no sense, and neither does the plot.
I'm getting a real education of sorts here on dA, as far as anime, games, and movies I'd been missing out on go. I'll have to devote more time to my thoughts on all that later. But suffice it to say for now that I'm enjoying all of the suggested material.
Random fact about me: I love apples.
